So where are all of those people who want to have an only dog? I’m here! Waiting for you to call!
All I keep hearing around here, are that people want to adopt a dog that can be an only pet. Well, I can be an only dog! I check my peemail every day on my walkies, and there are never any messages for me. Who am I? My name is Duff! Cute name for a cute hound, dontcha think? I’m an 8 year old handsome black boy. I’m very sweet and easy going. I love meeting new people.
I really need to be an only dog. See, I get so excited when I look out the window and see little furry animals that I just want to nip at something! That something, is most often the dog standing at the window next to me. I’m sorry, I don’t know what comes over me, but that’s why I should be an only dog. I’ve never shown any aggression towards a human. I like going to meet & greets, events, and being petted by everyone. I’m a very good ambassadog out in public.
Before you wonder… yes, I’ve had a full vet checkup. I’m in good health. My reaction is behavioral. I’m not cat safe either…. Again with the furry animals thing…
When I was training to be a super-fast race dog, I suffered an injury to my toe. I had to have my toe amputated. I can put my foot down, but if I’m on a hard surface, I’d rather get around on three legs. I have a little arthritis settling into my foot, however, I’m good on walks. Currently I have access to a dog door, but I could hold it during the day if I need to. I’ve never shown any separation anxiety. I could be in a home with older kids (10 and older). I’d prefer a backyard because I’m used to having one. I like to keep a watch over my domain!
