Colorado Greyhound Adoption

Earlier this month, Struttin Pup in Lafayette hosted Pet Pictures with Santa.  100% of the proceeds went to help the hounds!  Here are some of the pics that were taken...

Our 6th Annual Extreme Bowling for Greyhounds was on Sunday, March 30, 2008.

In October, CGA held its annual picnic at Tony Grampsas Park in Golden.  We had a greyt turnout!

In September, we held an open Adoption Day at Robert F. Clement Park in Littleton.  Most of our available dogs were together in one spot, where pre-approved adopters were able to get a first-hand look at potential new family members.  It was an amazing success!

Every year, Colorado Greyhound Adoption operates an information booth at the Colorado Renaissance Festival in Larkspur, CO.  Ye royal hounds are quite a hit!

In July, CGA held a golf tournament to benefit our organization. Thanks to the Homestead Golf Course in Lakewood for hosting such a wonderful event!

On February 4th, 2008, Opus Restaurant held a special benefit dinner for CGA. This event was a 5 course dinner at one of the area's premier restaurants.  Chef Michael Long is known as one of the top Chefs in Colorado, and his restaurant Opus is accepted as one of the Top 3 restaurants in the Denver area. Chef Long and one of our CGA Board Members who manages the restaurant prepared a menu titled "Gorging for Greys". The 5 course tasting menu was also paired with wines throughout. It was truly a culinary treat. The quality of the courses, the wine pairings, and the excellence of service will be an experience to remember.

There were a total of 24 people that attended the dinner, which raised $331 for the hounds!

In April, CGA hosted our 5th Annual "Extreme Bowling for Greyhounds" fundraiser. Thanks to AMF Belleview Lanes in Englewood for hosting the event!

Colorado Greyhound Adoption walked in the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Colorado Springs and Denver!

In March, the very first Colorado Family Pet Expo was held downtown at the Colorado Convention Center.  CGA had an information booth at that event, and our ambassadogs sure put on the charm.  (The pet food vendor next door fell victim to the "sad puppy dog eyes" and kept giving out free samples too!)
