City Bark is providing the space, beer and hot dogs so that we can raise money for the greyhounds. Here's the scoop:
WHEN: Friday evening, August 6, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
WHAT: City Bark in Parker is sponsoring a Yappy Hour to help raise money for Colorado Greyhound Adoption and Polaris Siberian Husky Rescue. There'll be grilled hot dogs and beer. We need volunteers to bring side dishes and also to help with the setup, greeting people at the door and cleanup afterwards. I think someone mentioned music but that may have been my imagination. There'll be a silent auction. Each group will supply a few items and then the groups each get the money from the items they contribute. City Bark is also donating a few items to the silent auction. In addition, admission is $15 and the groups get to split the proceeds.
If you're not familiar with City Bark, they're a great doggie day care. The Parker location has a park and a LARGE swimming pool. The park and the pool will be open during the Yappy Hour so all the doggies can play (and swim if they're so inclined).
So, we need all you hound-loving folks to promote this event with friends, family, coworkers and then come out on Friday evening, August 6. Bring your favorite side dish, bring your hounds and help raise money for CGA.
WHERE: City Bark 9835 Mangano Lane, Parker (that's ½ block north of Lincoln and Jordan),
