James was my first greyhound and was a huge joy in my life. He was a people dog that loved absolutely everyone! He would have made a perfect therapy dog except for his habit of marking everything. If marking is a way of claiming ownership, then he owned the entire neighborhood, a few pet stores, and a couple of houses. His ability to tell time was better than any Swiss watch. He would pass out every evening at precisely 8:30pm and wake up in the mornings at exactly 8:00am. He was a AA racer who settled into the retired life very easily. I miss his greyhound grin, his talking in his sleep, and his signature James Bond look...head tilt with left ear up.
