Asia1998-2008 Loved by Mayme & Paul Gigl On January 18, 2007, we welcomed nine year old Asia, a sweet, loving female greyhound into our home and hearts as a foster dog, and in a few days completed the adoption procedure to make her our own. For eighteen months, she brought such joy to our household that she shared with our four year old male greyhound, Alloway.
She died of bone cancer on July 15, 2008.
She was always ready for walks, for meals and treats, for fun runs in the backyard, and the loving massages that we so eagerly gave her. She was spunky, fast, and courageous. She gave so much love and so many kisses not only to us, but our family and friends. Alloway, too, is at a loss without her here. She set a fast pace when going for a walk. Alloway followed behind. He knew that she could find all the good smells. These next few days, weeks, will be sad ones without our precious Asia. But, she will always be in our hearts. And, soon we will give another greyhound a home because of the love we received from her. |
