Colorado Renaissance Festival - June 12 thru August 1 |
It's time again for the Colorado Renaissance Festival, and Colorado Greyhound Adoption is looking forward to attending this fun event. This is an excellent opportunity to reach MANY potential adopters and get much-needed donations.
When: Saturdays and Sundays between June 12th and August 1st Hours: 10:00am-6:00pm Where: Perry Park Rd, Larkspur

Tagawa Gardens - July 10 & 11 |

It's Grey Kitty's Birthday at Tagawas Garden Center and we're all invited for cake.
Please come out next Saturday and Sunday to bid on the beautiful garden container that we put together today to raise money for CGA. Bid high and Bid often as all of the money will go to the dogs. Thanks to Tagawas and Simply Beautiful Flowers we had a greyt time getting our hands dirty.

Senior Adoption & Celebration Day - July 31, 2010 |

JULY 31st - 10am-2pm
If you know you are interested in adopting one of these precious hounds contact Pam Hoskinson.
There will be CGA representatives there with adoption applications but no adoptions will be made that day unless a prior application has been approved.
Come and meet some real terrific “oldies but goodies”... If you are owned by a senior greyhound bring him/her and celebrate with everyone.

Important Volunteer Position Vacant |

We have a very important volunteer position open:
The Event Staffing Coordinator is responsible for finding volunteers to staff events. During the summer, CGA has several events going on and the Event Staffer may also need help to coordinate the set up and take down of CGA events. This position will work closely with the Event Coordinator.
Duties: - Obtain information about upcoming events from the Event Coordinator.
- Coordinate movement of event materials to the event or point person as required.
- Set up tent, table etc. at events and take down the same when event is over.
- Maintain inventory of event materials and/or know their location at all times.
Skills Required: - Strong organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Computer literate
- E-mail including e-mail attachments
Equipment Required: - Vehicle able to transport event tent, event tub, table, chairs and misc equipment.
- This position requires the volunteer to have their own computer with internet and e-mail access.
- Space for one or both sets of event materials while they are not in use.
Time Commitment: - Time required varies based on the season and number of events. Highest level of activity occurs from May through September. Others who have performed this function indicate an average of approximately 5-10 hours during the week of the event.
