A rousing HUZZAH to all the Renaissance Festival volunteers. It's a long season in the summer when each of you could have been doing other fun things. The precious weekend time you all gave is so very much appreciated.
This past weekend we collected about $800. That brings the total of donations for the run of the faire to more than $4,000.

Cru Vin Dogs - Greyhound Sauvignon Blanc |
 Cru Vin Dogs Wines has recently introduced a 2008 Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand that has original art depicting a greyhound on the label. Cru Vin Dogs Wine strongly supports Greyhound Adoption, and would like to help CGA by donating 5% of Colorado Sales of this wine to CGA. Only 1,000 cases of this wine were bottled, so once it's gone, its gone! This will be a collectible item -- one you will wish you had if you don't get a bottle, or a case!!

CGA Golf Tournament Results |
Hello Everyone,
CGA’s 9th annual golf tournament was held on Saturday July 18th. It was a beautiful day, when we teed off with 44 golfers there was not a cloud in the sky. The golf tournament is an event that CGA puts on every year that
gets a lot of outside exposure. The tournament is filled up with mostly teams that are not members of CGA, therefore we are able to reach out to another crowd of people and spread the word about these wonderful hounds. We had some fosters that showed up and it is always great to see how excited people get when they meet a greyhound for the first time. The greyhounds that showed up were "greyt" ambassadors.
Thanks again for making this fundraiser a huge success and we raised $3,497 in profit for these wonderful hounds and had a good time doing it. In the 9 years that we have held the golf tournament, a total of $25,078 has been raised for CGA.
I would like to thank everyone that helped set up, or volunteer, or sponsor, or play, or came out for the lunch to support us. YOU are the ones that make these events happen. THANKS!!!!

CGA Golf Tournament Registraion Deadline Extended |
So far we only have 6 teams signed up and paid for. I talked with the course this morning and they have allowed us to extend the deadline to this Thursday to get all of the registration information to them. So, the deadline for registration is now Thursday July 9th.
The 9th annual golf tournament will be at The Homestead golf course (Kipling and Hampden). This is a great course for golfers at all skill levels. We will be playing a four person scramble format again this year, a morning shotgun and a Burger/Grilled Chicken lunch. We will still be having a lot of great prizes again this year.
The tournament date is Saturday July 18th. 7:30 A.M. Shotgun
The cost is $120.00/person and the registration deadline is July 6th.
Hopefully you will be able to come out and enjoy this fun tournament to raise money for CGA. This has been a successful event every year and everyone has a good time too. All of you who have participated in the Greyhound tournament know how much fun it is. Pass the word around to your friends and lets see if we can fill the course this year. :) You can either register as a complete foursome or individually and we will pair you up with other golfers. |

2010 Greyhound Calendar: Now Preselling |
 We are really excited to tell you that the 2010 Greyhounds Through the Ages calendar is in production right now! And, you can pre-order your calendar on the CGA Store. In addition, you can choose to have your calendars mailed directly to you when they arrive from the printer, or you can save the postage and pick them up at the CGA picnic on September 12th.
Also, there is still time if you would like to run an ad or a coupon in the Calendar. Just choose the ad options under calendars on the CGA store. An ad in the calendar only costs $50, and logos must be a minimum of 300 dpi.
NOTE: The presale price on the calendars is only valid through July 31st.
All proceeds of the calendar go directly toward food and medical expenses for retired racing greyhounds! |

It just doesn't get any easier than this to be an UBER hound hero. To be able to look back and say that you made the biggest possible difference in helping CGA get through the challenges we are currently facing, and making CGA stronger than ever in the future.
OK...So we all have seen the commercials where we see pictures of children who need to be fed good food, with a famous spokesperson telling us how we can help......Now, imagine Evie Petunia showing us the sweet faces of hound after hound who are waiting for their forever homes, the relinquished hounds looking for a second chance at a forever home, they just need your help. |
