Loved by the Tempinsky Family

Smiley Tempinski, of Lakewood, Colorado passed away on Friday, August 7th, 2009 after a week long battle with Leptospirosis at the age of 4 years, 3 months.  He was born in the late spring of 2005 to parents of unknown origin; a greyhound with no ear tattoos or history.

In June of 2007 Smiley was found muzzled and starving. He was subsequently cared for by Colorado Greyhound Adoption and his foster parents Erica & Sylvain Thibault.  Smiley, along with his foster brother Cody, were adopted by Mark & Daisy Tempinski on December 12, 2007.  That greyt day, a perfect herd was formed.

During his life Smiley brought joy to many through his wonderful qualities and quirks.  He formed close human friendships with his wonderfully complex, free-bird personality.  Smiley learned how to shake after two months of the ones training him looking like fools...   He preferred to relax in deck chairs like humans do, as opposed to the hard ground.  Smiley also proved to be an excellent lap dog, never caring about size, just that he was close to his herd members.  His smile, honesty and presence are missed deeply.
